Deaf Rights?
I’d greatly appreciate if anyone can explain this to me. I’m struggling to understand what is deaf rights, civil rights that is?
I have seen tweets, facebook statuses, blogs, etc demanding to have deaf rights/civil rights. I asked myself “what is there that we, deaf people, are banned from something that violates our human rights?”

Well, now that I like tumblr more for many reasons.
Easy to post photos, texts, etc via cell phone and such. As a matter of fact, I’m texting via iPhone at this moment!

Do not make a quick assumption thinking you were treated differently because of your deafness. It could have been your bad attitude, etc.
WatchI was watching some weird-ass movie (Gummo). Couldn’t finish but one part caught my eyes: there were two deaf people in the background.

How can I ever forget this my own quote I put in Twitter/FB a bit ago. One lame-ass angry peeps going off at me, ha ha! Because of that, I will continue to say this often. STOP deny others’ own happiness, period.
Being independent to me is to be myself, my own thoughts, etc. No interest in being a part of groups just to be well-liked.
