I’d like to share some pictures I’ve been taking on my own in past weeks. Some of you might have seen via Facebook, though.

I know some of you have many questions for me so feel free to shoot me any ?’s.

Okay, I’ve decided to be more open about these experiences. I got quite many questions asking if I’d share. For many years, I never wanted to talk about it again is because it’s too depressing for me.

Lemme share for once so I can move on. As for the rape incident, when I was 5 or 6 at a friend’s around my age, too. His older brother took me in his room doing you know what. Sure, I was so young to understand the whole thing so I thought this was supposed how older guys do. He even kicked me afterward being pissed cuz I bled on his carpet saying his mom is gonna be mad. It was weird, very weird.

I got over it long time ago, good thing it was one time thing. But with molestation, I admit I still haven’t gotten over it and probably never will.

How it all started is when I was 12 going to a public middle school. The school bus that we had to share with bunch of deaf high schoolers (same school that Lynelle, my sister, attended), not too far from my middle school.

That one day which I never forgot is that after the guy (I will name him John), high school senior, was dropped off (as usual he gets dropped off first before me, we lived only couple of miles apart). Somehow he decided to jump in his jeep and started to follow the bus. One of students caught him then told the driver that he was following us.

But too late, we were at stop where I get off, I thought it was weird how John followed us. He got out of car walked up to me asking if this is where I live, I said yes and asked why he followed. He said oh he must have left something in the bus like.. a key. Of course nothing was found.

Soon after that, he found out when I will be home alone so he walked into the apartment (that day the door wasn’t locked). I was shocked to see him. He said that my mom gave him the permission to get in. 

I assumed they ran into each other at the store on her way to work.

So that’s where it started for about a year, I couldn’t tell a thing because I was scared for two reasons. One is afraid that no one would believe me cuz he was well-liked guy by many. Other reason was he threatened to kill my mom if I tell a thing.

I gotta tell you, being molested fucked up my life, went through a lot of counseling and all for many, many years.

Even to this day, I still struggle. Even worse, I saw him last year.. on VP (video phone)!! I happened to chat with a fan of mine and turned out his roommate was John! So, I couldn’t talk to that one fan anymore and I can’t tell him why. It’d be very awkward. So after seeing John on VP, all the shits brought me back all over again, struggling with it even to this day.

Okay, I feel a bit better… I think. Thanks for letting me to vent. Ciao.

Forgot to add one thing, how did it stop is when a friend of mine found out, he told his mother then went on telling my mom. Got John arrested and all, went court and such. At the end, he was released and put on 2 years probation.

First, I would like to say many thanks for the support coming from friends and family.

Anyway, what happened is that I mentioned about me being molested/raped when I was young via Twitter. Someone who have a long history of bullying/attacking me but this time, he have gotten too far by accusing me of making it up.

Yes, I’m appalled believe me, that I was accused of making up shits when I stood up to share about my molestation experience.

Quote referred to me: “Actually I strongly believe that (Geo) is lying about his so-called molestation & rape claims. I trust my guts.”

This is just downright horrible, period.

After I shared about this (and some saw it via Twitter), what hits me even more is that a friend emailed me saying this is exactly why this person will not be open about own situation. I feel so bad and realized that during my one year of being molested, I had to keep myself quiet because I was afraid others will not believe me. 

So, I feel this post is very important hoping to encourage others to step forward and be open about it. Also will not stop from being able to call out for help if needed.

Screw these idiots.

Yep, this is exactly what I am thinking. 

We all know it’s no secret that there are some people out there saying subtitles or captions distracted them easily. When I said “some people”, I do not mean hearing people only, there are deaf people out there saying same things as well.

Before we start on this, I want you to read this article. Sara Cox wasn’t happy to know that there was subtitles provided in the theater she went to. 

Now this remind me when I started vlogging about 4 years ago, I added subtitles to all of my videos (started using closed caption about 2 years ago). I had to deal with some deaf people and they complained that my videos with subtitles were too distraction for them. I received plenty of ugly comments and emails demanding me to stop adding subtitles and such. 

What’s wrong with getting used to it? I can watch ANY videos with subtitles even if I don’t need it, I can ignore it easily. Jes, my hearing boyfriend, have no problem watching shows and movies with captions on with me, in fact even without me around, he still leave it on. He said he’d feel weird watching without one because he got used to it.

Ah… I remember when I was dating my old boyfriend back in 2000, he was working at a restaurant and I stopped by to pick him up but I had to wait for a bit longer than expected. So he turned CC on for me to watch TV. There were about 10 TVs but he turned on just one close to where I sat. I ordered food, enjoyed my evening watching TV for a while before he finally got off.

Next day, he got into trouble saying he is NOT supposed to turn on CC because some people complained that CC was too distracted. Really? He almost got fired for THAT!

What’s wrong with people… why is it so bad having subtitles/captions everywhere?

I’d greatly appreciate if anyone can explain this to me. I’m struggling to understand what is deaf rights, civil rights that is?

I have seen tweets, facebook statuses, blogs, etc demanding to have deaf rights/civil rights. I asked myself “what is there that we, deaf people, are banned from something that violates our human rights?”

I mean me being gay, we does have civil rights issue, for instance, unable to get married in many states, can’t get credited for federal taxes and such. Laws clearly stated we are banned from getting married. I’d name more but you get the point.

But with deaf, what is there that we are banned from in America? We can drive, we can get married, can apply, etc. 

I did ask a few deaf people and yet they threw a fit just because I asked a question, started bashing me and all.

A couple of others said the meaning of rights that we were denied due to our deafness. I explained that it have to do nothing with laws, the law did not tell them to deny us, discriminate us, etc. It’s all based on their ignorance, stupidity, etc. No such law that stops us from doing what we want.

Unless we are talking about other countries not for America? Maybe *that*, I would understand and support it completely but for America? I feel we have equal rights, just that we have to face ignorance all the time.

If it’s all about educating people the meaning of deaf and all then shouldn’t it be something else other than “rights”? I know there will be people out there ask what it means so either we have to come up with better explanations or use a different word other than “rights”.

Entertain me.. educate me.. feed me, whatever you want the meaning of “rights”.

Who likes Tumblr? I do! I do!

Well, now that I like tumblr more for many reasons.

Easy to post photos, texts, etc via cell phone and such. As a matter of fact, I’m texting via iPhone at this moment!

So now with me using Tumblr more, I will no longer use seekgeo.com soon. Too much hassle for me to keep up with repairs, codes, etc. Beside, most of my posts are either photos or videos so Tumblr works perfectly for me.

I will announce on seekgeo.com when I’m ready to close it for good.

I must cut down to 3 sites at least, too many sites to keep track of anyway. Who can keep up with 15 different sites nowadays?!
